Listen again and let your children do something creative whilst they listen, eg, draw, play with modeling clay or lego

Listening is one of the main aspects of music teaching and the next step will be - singing!
Let your children listen to the song you choose every day, during circle time or tidy-up time. Repetition is your friend!
Keep the conversation going. What is the song about?
Ask them to write out the lyrics for the chorus and decorate them with illustrations.
Before you know it, you will all be singing the song.

We had our first free Music Meet Up on Saturday 25th May! The theme was Songwriting and here is what one of the participants shared after:
‘I attended Victoria’s free course as part of LittleSong Music-Makers and it was great. Her songs are well written , extremely catchy and relevant to her intended audience. It was also brilliant to interact with other songwriters. I particularly liked the songwriting activity based on a picture and how we all managed to write completely different songs based on the same picture.’
